1. though引导让步状语从句时表示一种假设的情况或含有推测的意味,从句的谓语动词可用陈述式,也可用虚拟式; 有时为了强调让步的意义,可采用倒装语序。
2. 在用though连接的从句中,谓语是be,而从句的主语与主句的主语相同时,从句的主语与be可同时省略。

though, although

这两个词都可表示“虽然”。其区别是：

1.although的语气较重,引导的句子常指事实; though引导的句子可表示假设。

2.though可以引起从句的主语和谓语部分倒装，而although不可。

3.although只用作连词; 而though除用作连词外,还可用作副词。另外，though可用作并列连词，也可用作从属连词；而although只能用作从属连词。

4.though可用于even though, as though, what though等结构; 而although不能。

though，although，as，even though

这些连词均可表示“虽然，尽管”之意。

though和although在意义上几乎毫无区别，但在习惯用法上这两个词仍有以下一些差异：1.though可引出倒装语序的让步状语从句，although 则不能。2.though可与even连用，although则不能；在as though结构中，只用though，不能用although。3.though可以置于从句末，而although则不能。4.引出省略句时，通常用though。

although与though在意义上相似，但文体上是比较正式用词，语气比though强。

as引出让步状语从句只用于倒装语序结构中，语气强于上述两个连词。

even though（＝even if），意为“即使”，引导让步状语从句。though也引导让步状语从句，意为“虽然”；even though有退一步设想的意味，与though不同。though引导的句子所说的是事实，even though引导的句子所说的则不一定是事实。例如：

尽管他80多岁了,但似乎还很健康。

误 though he is over eighty, but he seems still healthy.

正 though he is over eighty, he seems still healthy.

正 He is over eighty, but he seems still healthy.

析 汉语“虽然…但是…”在英语中不能用though...but...来表示, though和but不可同时使用。
